Pleve
Ron Rizzo passionately explores concepts that have never been conceived of before, including using brilliant cut diamonds like an artist paints a canvas. Plevé began as a dream, and now redefines diamond luxury. Trained artisans creatively arrange mosaics of mixed diamond sizes and shapes in ceramic, securing them forever. The different gem patterns are known as “pallets” with no two exactly alike.
Ron patented his invention and brought it to the attention of the Pluczenik Diamond Group, a DeBeers sight holder. With their international resources Ron was able to expand the collection and achieve world-wide recognition. Celebrities have worn Plevé pieces to Oscar parties, photos shoots, and on the red carpet. In Las Vegas in 2012, at the largest jewelry show in the United States, JCK Magazine named Plevé the winner in the “best diamond jewelry” category.
Ron Rizzo was born in New York to a family of jewelers, and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. He considers himself a performance artist in the world of jewelry and embraces new technology to manufacture his own collections. He enjoys the training of craftspeople and considers his factory and studio a “jewelry utopia,” where art meets craft in the conception and execution of his original ideas.
